Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare contracts, briefs, motions, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research, prepare discovery and respond to discovery
- Prepare for and attend legal proceedings
- Understands all aspects of litigation from intake to trial.
- Is organized and can support a volume docket of cases.
- Utilizes technology and case management software to more efficiently and effectively represent clients and support lead attorneys.
- Adheres to data integrity standards.
Qualifications:
- Must be licensed to practice law in Ohio and in good standing with the Ohio Bar
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Must have the ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients
- Must have excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
- Must be able to provide excellent, reliable and persuasive work product and will not be afraid to ask for help when needed.
- Must have a keen desire to take on responsibility quickly and grow as a litigator.
- Must be able to navigate the dynamic nature of litigation, managing multiple deadlines and projects at once, while working both independently and on a team.
- Must be able to maintain positive relationships with colleagues, staff, clients, opposing attorneys, and court personnel.
