Description of Work
This position provides advanced administrative and operational support to the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction’s Central Human Resources section and four Regional Employment Offices. The position independently coordinates office operations, procurement activities, financial transactions, records management, scheduling, access requests, and administrative services in accordance with State and agency requirements.Key Duties Include:
- Coordinate daily office operations, including reception coverage, telephone routing, mail distribution, conference room scheduling, and administrative correspondence.
- Schedule candidate interviews and communicate logistical information to hiring managers, applicants, and HR staff.
- Process procurement requests, invoices, supply orders, Procurement Card reconciliations, and supporting transactions in systems such as NCFS or eProcurement.
- Maintain inventory records and coordinate warehouse orders, nameplate requests, surplus property, vehicle reservations, and work orders.
- Process travel reimbursements, badge requests, NCID access requests, and related administrative documentation.
- Maintain confidential administrative and financial records in SharePoint or other designated electronic filing systems.
- Monitor administrative workflows, purchasing records, CNTR documentation, and supporting records for accuracy and compliance.
- Respond to routine inquiries and provide administrative support to HR staff, management, employees, applicants, or external partners.

Salary Grade Range: $41,206 - $72,113

Demonstrated experience coordinating office operations, such as reception services, scheduling, mail distribution, travel documentation, or access requests
Proven experience processing procurement or financial transactions using systems such as NCFS, eProcurement, Procurement Card platforms, or comparable systems
Documented experience reconciling invoices, purchasing records, Procurement Card transactions, or related financial documentation
Demonstrated experience maintaining data and records in electronic records systems, HR Systems, or document-management platforms
