Senior Specialist II, Marketing & Communication (Global events program lead)

We are looking for a Global Events Program Lead with 8+ years of experience who will manage the portfolio and delivery of ASM's most important corporate events and executive engagements worldwide.

We are looking for a strategic event professional with a proven track record of leading complex global programs that drive business impact. Reporting to the global lead of External Communications and Events, this role will own  ASM's flagship event portfolio, including internal conferences and events, major corporate milestones, executive engagements, customer programs, and industry-facing events. You will lead planning, governance, budgeting, stakeholder alignment, and agency partnerships while ensuring every event advances ASM's objectives and delivers measurable value. As a trusted partner to senior leadership, you will influence across functions, manage significant investments, and guide cross-functional teams to execute world-class experiences on a global scale. You will work across cultures, time zones, and regions to help lead in bringing our most impactful events to life worldwide.

This is a highly visible position requiring strong leadership, business acumen, and the ability to influence across a complex global organization. You will partner closely with executives, corporate functions, regional teams, and external agencies to create impactful experiences that connect strategy with execution. What you’ll do

• Lead the global planning, governance, and ensure delivery of ASM's global flagship events.
• Develop event objectives, success metrics, engagement strategies, and attendee experience activations aligned to business priorities.
• Own event reporting mechanisms and executive reviews, driving continuous improvement across the portfolio.
• Own event budgets across multiple programs, ensuring financial accountability, forecasting accuracy, and optimization of investment.
• Develop event messaging strategies, executive and speaker briefings, host prep briefing meetings, and manage stakeholder updates.
• Guide creative vision and proposals for attendee experience, ensuring brand consistency, innovative programming, and memorable experiential activations that strengthen ASM's market presence.
• Champion innovation across the event portfolio by identifying emerging event trends, technologies, and experiential approaches that elevate engagement and deliver measurable business value.
• Oversee vendor selection, agency management, contract negotiations, and supplier performance reviews.
• Partner cross-functionally with executive leadership, sales, HR, procurement, finance, and technical teams to align priorities and deliver successful outcomes.
• Identify and mitigate program risks through comprehensive contingency planning, issue management, and operational oversight.
• Mentor and guide event team members while establishing scalable processes, templates, and best practices that strengthen ASM's global events function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience managing strategic corporate events, conferences, executive programs, or global business meetings within a B2B or technology environment.
• Proven experience leading global, large-scale, multi-stakeholder event programs from strategy through execution.
• Experience managing event portfolios with annual budgets exceeding $1 million, including forecasting, financial reporting, and cost optimization.
• Strong executive presence with experience engaging senior leadership.
• Exceptional project and program management skills, with the ability to balance strategic objectives and operational detail.
• Experience working within a global organization and collaborating with stakeholders, agencies, and team members across multiple regions, including Europe and Asia.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required to support global events and business objectives.
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience in the semiconductor industry is preferred.
