Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support a U.S. Army enterprise analytics and AI initiative. The successful candidate will provide advanced data science and AI/ML expertise supporting sustainment analytics, predictive modeling, decision support, and AI-enabled solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional data science experience.
- Strong Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) background.
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Forecasting and predictive analytics
- Anomaly detection
- Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Generative AI (GenAI)
- Optimization
- Experience developing and implementing AI/ML models.
- Experience with Azure Machine Learning and/or Databricks.
- U.S. Army, DoD, or federal government experience.
- Experience working with complex datasets and applying advanced analytics to support mission or business decisions.
- Army sustainment, logistics, or readiness experience.
- Experience with GCSS-Army, G4, NLAC, or other Army sustainment systems or data.
- Experience with Azure Government or other government cloud environments.
- Experience supporting predictive analytics involving equipment readiness, maintenance, fleet management, or supply forecasting.
- Microsoft or other relevant AI/ML certifications.
- Security+, DoD 8570/8140-related certifications, or other relevant cybersecurity credentials.
- Develop and implement AI/ML models using Army enterprise and sustainment data.
- Apply advanced analytical techniques including forecasting, anomaly detection, NLP, GenAI, optimization, and predictive analytics.
- Support predictive models involving equipment readiness, maintenance and breakdown forecasting, fleet management, supply forecasting, and related sustainment use cases.
- Contribute to AI-enabled analytical models, decision dashboards, and business intelligence solutions.
- Support integration of additional enterprise systems and data sources into the Army's Sustainment Enterprise Analytics environment.
- Collaborate with data, cloud, architecture, and application development personnel to deliver integrated analytics and AI capabilities.
- Validate analytical models and results with government data subject-matter experts and capability developers.
- Participate in daily status updates, coordination sessions, development meetings, and technical discussions with Army stakeholders.
