Team Overview
You will lead both production and maintenance functions within the facility, ensuring alignment between manufacturing output and equipment reliability. You will play a critical role in driving operational efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement across the plant. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help create a collaborative, high-performance environment focused on safety, quality, and results.
Key responsibilities
Production & Operations Leadership
- You will lead and manage production teams to ensure the efficient execution of manufacturing schedules,
- optimize labor, materials, and equipment utilization to meet production targets,
- analyze production data and drive performance improvements,
- and coach and develop team members to foster a high-performance culture.
Maintenance & Reliability
- You will oversee maintenance activities to ensure equipment uptime and reliability,
- develop and execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs,
- direct equipment installation, commissioning, and modifications,
- and maintain accurate records of equipment performance and lifecycle.
Integrated Planning & Coordination
- You will align maintenance schedules with production priorities to minimize disruption,
- partner with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and improve processes,
- and ensure strong coordination between production scheduling and maintenance execution
Continuous Improvement & Cost Management
- You will lead some lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives,
- and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and lower costs
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- You will ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards, promoting a strong safety culture across teams,
- And you will enforce policies and procedures consistently
Who We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field
- 7–10+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or maintenance in an industrial setting
- 3–5+ years of leadership experience managing teams
- Strong understanding of production operations and equipment reliability
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and process improvements
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with ERP systems and CMMS platforms
- Experience in cable, wire, or similar industrial manufacturing environments
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Works in a combined office and manufacturing environment, with regular time spent on the production floor supporting operations and maintenance activities.
Will be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and squat throughout the workday. Extended periods of sitting or standing may occur, along with frequent walking across a large manufacturing facility.
Will be required to use a computer and standard office equipment, including typing, reading, writing, and speaking fluently.
Employee will regularly be required to lift and carry objects of 5–10 pounds as needed, occasionally lift and carry 15–25 pounds, and rarely lift up to 40 pounds.
Work is performed in a high-volume, fast-paced, and dynamic environment requiring continuous coordination of schedules, resources, and priorities. The role requires the ability to respond efficiently and effectively to unanticipated problems and changing operational demands.
May be exposed to typical manufacturing conditions, including noise, moving equipment, and production activity when working on the plant floor.
