POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing all financial and accounting operations. Coordinating and directing preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances, as well as preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements. This position will also include financial risk management.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Manage all financial and accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Evaluate and enhance financial controls and tax return procedures.
- Maximize returns on excess cash balances and improve closing and reporting cycles.
- Analyze trends to reduce financial risks associated with making investments or spending decisions.
- Prepare internal audits and financial risk assessments, as well as facilitate intervention strategies.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes as accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Develop a professional, service-oriented finance team; ensure efficient business processes are utilized within the finance organization; identify resource needs and select, develop and retain top financial talent.
- Provide value to and promote efficiencies in the overall business using technology and process reengineering with the departments. Evaluate business trends and assist in pushing change through the organization.
- Responsible for financial plans and policies establishment and maintenance of controls as well as those necessary for the proper financial functioning, interpretation of financial reports, hands-on management of the accounting system and safeguarding of the organization’s assets.
- Responsible for leading and significant participation in the coordination, planning external audits.
- Aid the CFO and other Management personnel and perform special projects as needed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education: Advanced degree in accounting. CPA or MBA preferred.
Experience: Five+ years’ experience as a financial administrator, or similar. Extensive experience in corporate finances, auditing, and performance management.
Requirements: Proven working experience as a financial controller. Thorough knowledge of GAAP. Experience with creating financial statements. Experience in general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills. Excellent communication, organization, collaboration, and leadership skills. Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
Skills: Presentation skills, training management, motivating others, foster teamwork, coaching, and motivation. In addition, experience in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
