Position Summary
The Sr. Onsite Associate plays a critical role in supporting both warehouse operations and customer-facing project coordination within an electrical distribution environment. This position combines hands-on operational responsibilities with onsite client support, inventory management, and project coordination.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in electrical materials, warehouse processes, and customer interaction. This individual serves as a key operational resource, helping ensure efficient workflow, accurate inventory management, and exceptional customer service while supporting project execution from startup through completion.
Work Shift and Hours:
Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week, start time is between 7:00am-9:00am
Compensation Details:
The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, store, and organize incoming electrical materials including conduit, wire, lighting, switchgear, and related products.
Accurately pick, pack, stage, and ship customer orders for delivery, project sites, or pickup.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Convert project bids into material list spreadsheets and assist with project startup coordination.
Create and maintain customer ship-to accounts, production orders, and project pricing within company systems.
Coordinate shipment of configured carts, shelves, and materials to job sites.
Interact directly with customers onsite and in the field to gather information, resolve issues, and communicate updates to internal teams.
Support project management functions by understanding project flow, timelines, and customer material requirements.
Utilize inventory and warehouse management systems to create, receive, adjust, and track inventory and project materials.
Process material returns, transfers, and inventory reconciliations accurately and efficiently.
Analyze inventory and operational reports including open order reports, usage reports, and product transfer reports.
Make material adjustments within operational systems, including adding/removing products and adjusting minimum/maximum quantities.
Assist with cycle counts, audits, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company safety standards and procedures.
Mentor and assist in training junior associates on warehouse operations, safety practices, systems, and customer service expectations.
Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and support operational efficiency.
Serve as a point of contact for resolving day-to-day operational and customer-related issues in a fast-paced environment.
Support loading and unloading of delivery trucks and ensure proper handling of materials.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or electrical distribution environments.
Knowledge of electrical materials and products preferred.
Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal teams.
Experience using WMS, ERP, inventory, or project management systems.
Ability to multitask and manage operational and customer-facing responsibilities simultaneously.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to read reports, track inventory, and support project coordination activities.
Forklift certification or ability to become certified preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced operational environment.
