Veterans Management Services, Inc. (VMSI) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)and we are looking for a highly motivated Technologist to join our team supporting our Veterans Affairs Acquisition Academy (VAAA) client. The mission of VAAA is to deliver customer-focused training and professional development solutions that equip the Federal workforce to deliver acquisition excellence in service to the Veteran.

This is a part-time position supporting instructor-led training. Work assignments and hours are based on the annual training schedule and occur only during scheduled course deliveries. The annual course calendar is established and provided in advance, allowing employees to plan for upcoming assignments throughout the year.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain working knowledge of distance learning technologies, including Blackboard, Microsoft Office Suite, and other virtual learning platforms.
• Assist students with troubleshooting technical issues and ensure smooth participation in live and asynchronous course activities.
• Support the delivery and facilitation of interactive course components within Blackboard and related learning management systems.
• Collaborate with instructors and program staff to ensure seamless execution of virtual training sessions.
• Provide real-time technical support to Instructional Systems Designers (ISDs) and course instructors to quickly resolve technology disruptions during training delivery.
• Support instructional design teams by advising on technology capabilities, limitations, and best practices for virtual learning environments.
• Track and document student attendance, instructor participation, and course engagement metrics as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2+ years experience serving in a Junior level IT support role.
• Strong skills and ability to leverage IT equipment and software in a virtual learning environment.

Hourly Range: The hourly rate for this position is between $30.00 – $35.00 hourly. Factors affecting pay within this range may include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
