Wendell Foster is seeking a compassionate and energetic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Outpatient Services team of #DifferenceMakers!
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Wendell Foster, you'll work alongside our Physical Therapists to help children and adults with disabilities improve mobility, increase independence, and achieve their personal goals through high-quality, person-centered therapy services.

What matters to us:
Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
Current Kentucky Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing
Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
Current First Aid and CPR certification, or the ability to obtain certification (training provided)
Knowledge of physical therapy principles, treatment techniques, and therapeutic equipment
Intermediate computer skills and the ability to learn specialized software
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Physical Therapists, interdisciplinary team members, individuals served, and their families
Passion for helping individuals maximize independence and improve quality of life
What you'll do:
Provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve mobility, strength, function, and independence
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional, person-centered care
Monitor client progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
Complete accurate documentation and billing in accordance with Kentucky regulations and organizational standards
Meet established productivity and quality goals
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and departmental meetings
Provide education and training to individuals, families, caregivers, and staff as needed
Serve as a liaison with families, staff, and community partners to promote therapy services
Assist with departmental needs and perform other duties that support Wendell Foster's mission
