Health and Safety Co-op

Job Summary
The Health and Safety Co-op will play an active role in supporting and promoting workplace safety initiatives. This hands-on opportunity offers exposure to health and safety programs, hazard identification and risk assessment, while contributing to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and understand FGF Brands’ Health and Safety program
- Participate in workplace inspections, identify hazards and apply root cause analysis using the 5WHY method
- Engage with Safety Committees to understand their role and impact on production safety
- Support risk assessments to identify hazards and help implement measures to prevent injuries
Key Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health, Human Resources or related field
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel for data analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across departments and balance time between production floor and office tasks
- Safety shoes required while on the plant floor
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
