The J is hiring energetic Volleyball Coaches for our Fall Volleyball Skill Clinics. Our coaches serve as instructors and as a customer service point of contact. The J’s volleyball program emphasizes fun, safety and convenience and teaches the value of good sportsmanship. Experience as a coach/player/referee is preferred, but not mandatory.
Schedule
We are hiring reliable part-time staff to lead skill clinics on weekdays for 1st – 6th graders.
Practices will be on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Games will be on Sunday afternoons.
Essential Functions
- Teach and coach essential volleyball skills
- Set-up equipment for each clinic
- Supervise children ages 7 to 13 years
Requirements
- Experience working with children preferred
- Experience as a coach/referee/player is preferred
- Knowledge of volleyball and its rules
- Able to work a flexible schedule
- Must have reliable transportation
Physical Requirements
- Constant standing, walking, talking, hearing, and eye/hand/foot coordination.
- Frequent repetitive motions to demonstrate and execute skills and exposure to a generally loud gymnasium environment.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling of 25lbs, stooping/crouching, sitting, climbing stairs/ladders throughout the building and on the court.
