Job Description
As a Security Guard DoD Secret Security Clearance Unarmed Patrol in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, communicate professionally with personnel and visitors, and respond to security-related concerns while delivering exceptional customer service. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and authorized contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by established procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking locations, and perimeter boundaries to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or facility concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Observe and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, or policy violations to appropriate personnel while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
