DVM Medical Director – Brooklyn, NY
An expanding veterinary practice is seeking an experienced veterinarian to take on a medical leadership role within a growing urgent care setting. This opportunity is well suited for a doctor who enjoys clinical medicine, team development, and helping establish a strong practice culture.
What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality veterinary care for urgent and general medical cases
- Lead and support veterinarians and veterinary support staff
- Mentor team members and encourage ongoing professional development
- Establish and maintain high standards of patient care
- Help develop clinical protocols, workflows, and operational processes
- Promote a positive, collaborative practice culture
- Build strong relationships with clients and the local community
- Support the continued growth and development of the practice
- Maintain compliance with applicable veterinary regulations and standards
Qualifications
- DVM/VMD or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary program
- Active veterinary license or eligibility for licensure
- 3+ years of veterinary experience
- DEA registration or ability to obtain one
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Leadership and mentorship experience
- Ability to effectively guide and support a veterinary team
- Commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care
