About the role

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead the delivery and ongoing success of technical advertising solutions. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Ad Operations, and other cross-functional teams to turn defined goals into clear plans and coordinate programs from planning through launch. 

You will bring structure to complex work, maintain alignment across stakeholders, and help teams identify and address risks, dependencies, and decisions. You will use established program practices while identifying opportunities to improve how teams plan, communicate, and execute. 

The role focuses three primary areas:

1. Program & Platform Delivery Delivery: Lead the end-to-end execution of defined, cross-functional technical programs. Translate product and technical requirements into clear, dependency-aware plans; coordinate milestones and delivery activities; and proactively surface risks, decisions, and tradeoffs. Apply established program practices while identifying opportunities to improve how teams plan and execute. 

2. Cross-Functional Alignment:  Partner with stakeholders across consumer-facing teams, revenue teams, and shared technical platforms to deliver cohesive advertising experiences. Build shared understanding of scope, priorities, responsibilities, and delivery expectations. Facilitate timely decisions and help teams navigate competing needs and dependencies. 

3. Operational Excellence & Experimentation: Support reliable, measurable, and continuously improving program execution. Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to coordinate experiment readiness, performance monitoring, release planning, and incident follow-up. Use program and operational insights to identify execution gaps and recommend improvements.

This role has been categorized as an Office position. “Office” employees regularly work at the Zillow India office for approximately 80 to 100 percent of their time each month. Employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Zillow has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute.

In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role are eligible for incentive compensation subject to applicable laws and relevant Zillow policies. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

You are an organized and collaborative program leader who brings clarity and structure to complex technical work. You are comfortable leading programs with defined goals, managing dependencies across teams, and adapting plans as new information emerges. 

You combine disciplined execution with a continuous improvement mindset. You are comfortable working within established practices while recommending thoughtful improvements that reduce friction and help teams deliver effectively.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience managing technical programs or complex cross-functional projects in agile environments

• Experience leading technical initiatives from planning through delivery

• Experience coordinating work across Product, Engineering, Data, Operations, or other cross-functional partners

• Strong program management skills, including planning, risk management, dependency tracking, release readiness, and stakeholder communication

• Ability to organize and synthesize complex information into clear plans, decisions, and updates

• Ability to understand technical concepts, system dependencies, and their connection to customer or business outcomes

• Experience identifying and implementing continuous improvements to program delivery processes, frameworks, and operating practices to strengthen execution 

• Demonstrated ability to build alignment and influence outcomes without direct authority

• Experience supporting experimentation, measurement, or data-informed product development

• Experience working with advertising, media, or marketplace platforms, such as Google Ad Manager, Prebid, supply-side platforms, demand-side platforms, data management platforms, or programmatic infrastructure
