The Position - Security Operations Support Officer
Join St John of God Midland Hospital as a Hospital Security Officer and play an important role in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and caregivers. In this varied and hands-on role, you will provide a visible security presence, respond to emergency incidents, support risk management activities and deliver exceptional customer service across the hospital site.
Maintain a visible security presence throughout the hospital and conduct proactive patrols.
Respond rapidly to emergency codes, security incidents and requests for assistance.
Manage and de-escalate aggressive or high-risk situations using professional communication techniques.
Provide security escorts for patients, caregivers, visitors and high-risk patient transfers.
Monitor CCTV, security alarms and access control systems, ensuring timely responses to incidents.
Conduct incident investigations and prepare accurate reports and security documentation.
Liaise with emergency services, including Police and Fire Services, on operational matters. Patrol hospital car parks, manage traffic flow and address parking and security concerns.
Support compliance, risk management and security audits across the hospital campus.
