EOA Technologies is seeking a Storage Architect on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. You will be responsible for:
- Design, architect, configure, deploy, upgrade, and support various storage and backup platforms and associated management tools
- Diagnose and troubleshoot storage systems and other related technologies
- Adhere to engineering and architecture standards and participate in technical review meetings as required
- Participate in the evaluation, deployment, management, and integration of new technologies in alignment with other engineers, architects, and technical service lanes
- Provide incident support and participate in on-call rotation during off-hours and weekends
- Create and maintain documentation: logical/physical diagrams, run books, and other technical engineering documents
- Demonstrate initiative and commitment to optimizing systems and processes
- Oversee the installation of new storage hardware and software according to standard operating procedures
- Oversee updates to hardware, operating systems, and software as needed to provide required functionality and security
- Ensure systems are monitored and statistics relevant to capacity, performance, utilization, etc., are collected and regularly reviewed
- Keep abreast of current developments in storage and backup technology to assist Federal staff in assessing the future direction of storage and backup technology

Requirements
To be considered for this position you must have the following:
- Possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
- IAT Level 2 Certification
- Hands on NetApp experience a MUST
- Hands-on engineering experience with NetApp and other storage technologies and concepts
- Experience with SAN, NAS, Fiber Channel and iSCSI storage implementations
- Experience with capacity planning and sizing storage and backup environments
- Experience in performance tuning and optimizing storage and backup environments
- Experience with data center migrations and storage replication technologies
- Senior-level experience with the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale systems, preferably across multiple hardware platforms and data centers
- Strong understanding of high availability concepts with practical experience and implementation of key components in storage environments
- Strong understanding of fundamental hardware concepts: disk, memory, CPU, NIC, HBA, firmware, RAID, performance concepts (I/O, paging, swapping, system calls), iSCSI, Fiber Channel, Ethernet
- Strong understanding of essential TCP/IP concepts: TCP, UDP, ICMP, SMTP, SNMP, LDAP, DNS, NTP, etc..
- Experience connecting storage arrays to Hypervisor Technologies (NUTANIX, VMWARE VCF, OpenStack).
- Understanding of security best practices and federal hardening requirements (FISMA, STIG, etc.)
- Proficient written and oral communication skills
- Strong collaborative attitude and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to take direction
- Bachelor's degree with twelve (12) years of relevant experience, or,
- High school diploma with twenty (20) years of relevant experience, or,
- Associates degree with fifteen (15) years of relevant experience
