Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Lines Underwriting Assistant to support the underwriting process for a variety of Property & Casualty insurance products. This position will work closely with the underwriting team on renewal business, rating, quoting, and policy processing while helping ensure accounts are handled accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate has commercial insurance experience and a solid understanding of the underwriting process. Responsibilities
- Support the underwriting team with commercial renewal business from initial account review through quoting and binding.
- Review applications, loss information, exposure details, and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Rate and prepare quotes for commercial accounts across General Liability, Property, Inland Marine, Professional Liability, and related coverages.
- Assist with policy issuance, endorsements, binders, and other underwriting transactions while maintaining accurate account documentation.
- Communicate with agents, brokers, underwriters, and internal teams to obtain information and ensure accounts are processed within established timelines.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of commercial Property & Casualty insurance experience, preferably within underwriting or underwriting support.
- Experience with commercial insurance rating, quoting, renewals, policy processing, or related underwriting functions.
- Knowledge of General Liability, Commercial Property, Inland Marine, Professional Liability, or other commercial coverages preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to effectively manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within an underwriting team.

- $55,000 to $70,000 base salary (based on experience) + lucrative bonus
