Description
My client, a 300 bed hospital in Southern NM, about 1 hr from El Paso, TX, has a need for an ACFO to join their team. Candidates MUST have FOR PROFIT HOSPITAL Experience!!! No exceptions!! Candidates should have ACFO or Controller experience, preferably from an acute care hospital.
- Directs the department's activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives.
- Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
- Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
- Administers the general accounting, patient business services, including third party reimbursement, financial, and statistical reporting functions of the hospital in accordance with established policies and accounting procedures.
- Provides informal direction in data processing, distributed systems, material management and medical records functions.
- Assures the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports and assures that the reports reliably reflect the financial position of the hospital. Directs the preparation of internal financial reports including work papers for annual financial audit.
- Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
- Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required; CPA or Master's degree strongly preferred.
Licenses:
- CPA preferred
Skills & Experience:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
