Client Accounting Services Experienced Staff - San Jose, CA

Join our Client Accounting Services team and help deliver accurate, timely accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients. This position is designed for an accounting professional who can manage recurring client work, collaborate effectively with team members, and take ownership of assigned deliverables.

Qualifications
•    One to three years of accounting experience
•    Technical competence and confidence in applying accounting knowledge
•    Experience managing accounting and bookkeeping for assigned clients, including bank reconciliations
•    Experience preparing payroll journal entries and completing work-in-progress and other month-end reconciliations
•    Experience preparing payroll tax and sales tax filings, Forms 1099, and property tax returns
•    Ability to prepare depreciation and amortization schedules
•    Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
•    Proficiency with artificial intelligence (AI) tools is a plus
•    Strong attention to detail and excellent communication and organizational skills
•    Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities while resolving problems promptly
•    Demonstrated record of initiative, reliability, and success
•    Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Foundation, or other construction-specific accounting software
•    Construction accounting experience preferred

Position Responsibilities
•    Take ownership of assigned clients’ accounting needs and deliverables
•    Manage accounting and bookkeeping activities for assigned clients
•    Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting schedules and reconciliations for accruals, accounts payable, payroll, bank accounts, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, income taxes, and credit cards
•    Prepare timely and accurate financial information and client deliverables
•    Collaborate with team members to address client needs and resolve accounting issues
•    Meet or exceed established deadlines
•    Manage multiple projects simultaneously
•    Work effectively across multiple accounting systems

Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $74,000 to $90,000. This range reflects compensation for the San Francisco Bay Area. Actual compensation will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and geographic location.
