Job Description

The Supply Chain Production Planner, under the direction of the Production Planning Supervisor, develops, maintains and executes production plans to support customer demand, manufacturing continuity, service objectives, and inventory targets. Responsible for production order management, schedule adherence, SAP planning transactions, short-term production planning, critical material reviews, and coordination with manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Release, create, modify and maintain production orders in SAP.
• Monitor day-to-day production plan execution and production adherence.
• Manage production order changes and priority adjustments.
• Layout weekly production schedules by SKU and manufacturing area.
• Maintain PPDS production plans for the rolling 2-month horizon.
• Enter and maintain 12-month production outlook in SNP planning system.
• Coordinate with Operations and Manufacturing to support schedule execution.
• Review work orders and material transactions for planning accuracy.
• Support resolution of DHR and production release issues.
• Balance month-end production schedules to support shipment and financial targets.
• Lead weekly hotspot reviews and critical material reviews.
• Support engineering change requests and product transitions.
• Create and maintain planning orders supporting QHL, Cayey and Holdrege operations.
• Support allocation activities for external outsourcing for sterilization requirements
• Assist with inbound delivery and supply issue resolution impacting production.
• Prepare monthly production attainment and volume/mix reporting.
• Update and maintain PPA dashboards and work-order status reporting.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in BD Sumter Supply Review meetings.
• Support continuous improvement projects within planning operations.
• Maintain SAP master data integrity related to production planning.
• Observe all Quality System Requirements, Safety and Environmental policies.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Planning Supervisor or Supply Chain Manager.

Education

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering or related field preferred.

Experience & Knowledge

• 3+ years of production planning, manufacturing planning or supply chain planning experience.
• SAP ERP experience required.
• Knowledge of MRP, scheduling and inventory management processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Work Environment:

• False eyelashes, press-on fingernails, and Jewelry is not allowed on the production floor including dermals.  Any associate wearing dermals will be required to cover them while working on the production floor. 
• Shoes are required to be Steel Toe and non-slip for all associates while on the production floor for safety purposes.
