Description

Eaton’s Aerospace Group is seeking a dynamic General Manager for the Fuels division. This role will require being within driving distance and/or relocation to one of the major Aerospace hubs in the US and will include 50% travel.

## What you’ll do:

The General Manager, Fuels Business Unit is responsible for leading FMC's (Fuel & Motion Controls) global business strategy, operational performance, growth initiatives, and lifecycle support activities for the Fuels portfolio. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President & General Manager, FMC, this leader has full accountability for business unit growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and strategic development across both OEM and aftermarket channels. The role oversees all aspects of the value stream including product strategy, product development, program execution, manufacturing operations, repair and overhaul services, spare parts, distribution, customer support, field service, commercial execution, and inorganic growth opportunities.

The General Manager drives sustainable growth by expanding market share, increasing installed-base penetration, optimizing portfolio performance, developing strategic customer relationships, and delivering industry-leading support and solutions to OEM and operator customers worldwide.

Business Growth & Strategy

  • Lead the overall business unit growth strategy, driving both OEM and aftermarket expansion across global aerospace markets.
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year product and services roadmap that reflects evolving customer requirements, market dynamics, competitive activity, emerging technologies, and changing fleet demographics.
  • Drive growth through targeted program wins, customer acquisition, installed-base expansion, service agreement growth, and market penetration initiatives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and execute inorganic growth opportunities, strategic partnerships, alliances, distribution agreements, and equity investments that support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with FMC and Aerospace leadership to establish investment priorities, growth initiatives, product strategies, and market expansion plans.
  • Determine where to invest in products, services, technologies, and markets to maximize long-term business value.

Portfolio & Commercial Leadership

  • Improve portfolio profitability through effective pricing strategies, product and service mix optimization, customer segmentation, channel management, and portfolio rationalization.
  • Partner with sales, commercial, engineering, program management, and customer support teams to capture Voice of the Customer (VOC) and translate customer insights into differentiated products and lifecycle support solutions.
  • Establish and execute strategies to maximize recurring revenue, customer retention, and lifecycle value across the global installed base.
  • Drive commercial excellence through disciplined execution of growth strategies, customer engagement, and market development initiatives.
  • Strengthen relationships with OEMs, airlines, operators, MRO providers, distributors, government agencies, and strategic partners.

Operations & Customer Experience

  • Partner with operations leadership to develop and execute global manufacturing and aftermarket service strategies that achieve delivery, quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Ensure alignment between commercial commitments, operational capacity, supply chain performance, and customer requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing sites, repair stations, service centers, distribution operations, and support functions.
  • Lead effective program execution across development, production, service, and lifecycle support activities.
  • Deliver industry-leading performance in operational efficiency, repair turnaround time, inventory availability, product quality, and on-time delivery.

  • Establish actions to improve financial performance through operational excellence, commercial effectiveness, service innovation, and portfolio optimization.
  • Monitor and drive achievement of key business performance indicators to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Develop and execute long-range business plans aligned with FMC and Aerospace strategic objectives

Organization & Leadership

  • Accountable for maximizing the value of the business unit's product portfolio and installed base through growth of products, services, repair and overhaul capabilities, spare parts, customer support, distribution channels, and strategic market initiatives.
  • Deliver superior customer satisfaction, sustainable profitability, and industry-leading operational performance across all aspects of the business.

## Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience with significant responsibility across operations, finance, sales, marketing, product management, or general management.
  • Demonstrated success leading global businesses with full P&L accountability.
  • Strong strategic planning capability and experience developing long-term growth strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field from an accredited university or institution required; Master's or MBA preferred.
  • Experience leading complex, matrixed organizations with global teams and diverse customer bases.
  • Strong business acumen, decision-making capability, and track record of delivering measurable results.
  • Ability to effectively lead across multiple cultures and regions, including North America and Europe.
  • Aerospace, industrial manufacturing, aftermarket services, or related industry experience preferred.
