DESCRIPTION:

Join our collaborative team as a Senior Business Analyst – SAP SD/MM/PP, where you'll connect business and technology to create innovative and scalable solutions across Thermo Fisher Scientific. Serve as a lead functional subject matter expert across SAP Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, and Production Planning, partnering with cross-functional teams to analyze complex business needs, translate requirements into comprehensive solutions, and lead strategic initiatives that enhance our operations and customer experience.

In this role, you'll provide functional and solution leadership across end-to-end Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, supply chain, inventory, and manufacturing processes. You'll partner with stakeholders at all levels to define solution strategies, evaluate alternatives, optimize business processes, and ensure successful delivery of business-critical projects and transformation initiatives. Lead functional activities across the solution lifecycle while driving standardization, integration, continuous improvement, and adoption of scalable SAP solutions across our global organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in SAP SD/MM/PP, business analysis, or related enterprise application experience

• Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or related field

• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, PMP, CSPO, SAFe) are a plus

• Proven expertise as a functional lead or subject matter expert across SAP SD, MM, and/or PP, with strong knowledge of integrated end-to-end business processes

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP configuration and solution design across Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, Production Planning, and related functional areas

• Strong functional knowledge of Order-to-Cash processes, including sales order management, pricing, delivery and shipping, billing and invoicing, credit management, and related customer fulfillment processes

• Strong functional knowledge of procurement, purchasing, inventory management, material requirements planning (MRP), production planning and execution, production orders, bills of material (BOM), routings, work centers, and related master data

• Advanced understanding of integration across SAP SD, MM, PP, Finance and Controlling (FICO), Quality Management (QM), warehouse, logistics, and related enterprise applications

• Proven ability to lead the translation of complex business requirements into scalable, sustainable, and supportable SAP solutions aligned with enterprise standards and business strategy

• Experience leading solution design and evaluating alternatives considering business value, process impact, scalability, supportability, integration dependencies, risk, and long-term strategic direction

• Experience leading functional activities across requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, development, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), data migration, cutover, implementation, and post-go-live stabilization

• Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives and coordinate activities across business teams, functional teams, developers, integration teams, infrastructure teams, and external partners

• Strong experience analyzing complex functional and integration issues, performing root-cause analysis, and providing leadership through solution development and implementation

• Experience developing and reviewing functional specifications, solution designs, process documentation, test strategies, cutover plans, and other functional deliverables

• Experience with SAP integrations and interfaces using technologies such as IDocs, file transfers, web services, APIs, and related integration technologies

• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA and transformation, migration, upgrade, or global template initiatives preferred

• Demonstrated ability to identify and drive opportunities for business process simplification, automation, standardization, and continuous improvement

• Advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management practices with demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with the ability to assess business and technology impacts across integrated processes

• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills with the ability to communicate complex business and technical concepts to stakeholders at all organizational levels

• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills with demonstrated ability to influence decisions and build consensus across organizational boundaries

• Experience working with cross-functional and global teams and delivering solutions across multiple business units and geographies

• Ability to provide functional leadership, coaching, and knowledge sharing to business analysts, functional teams, support teams, and business users

• Strong understanding of IT governance, change management, security, quality, regulatory compliance, and validation requirements

• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools, including Jira, ServiceNow, Microsoft Office Suite, or similar tools

• Ability to work independently, lead complex assignments, and operate effectively in a results-oriented environment with shifting priorities

• Up to 25% travel may be required
