Power Systems Engineering Manager

Ensure the safety of employees who work in low, medium, and high voltage work environments. Ensure strict compliance with safety policies, train and implement safety programs. Ensure safety equipment resources are available and properly tested, and act as a safety liaison with customers. Facilitate teaming with other districts to support multi-district customers and/or industries. Provide input to profit plan and monthly forecasts with accuracy so that the operation meets these goals on a regular basis. Build an effective and skilled team through successful recruiting, assessment of talent, training and development, goal setting, communications, performance appraisal, and conformance to applicable company policies. Provide leadership and direction to ensure professional growth for employees and retention within the operation. Provide front line support for engineering staff on technical questions, sales and negotiation questions, project management matters, and commercial issues. Manage escalation procedures in accordance with our 24/7 service business. Developing and maintaining customer relationships and resolving complaints. Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a directly related field plus seven (7) years of experience working in service of an engineering unit. Seven (7) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): Power distribution and power systems engineering practices and procedures. Product applications and meeting customer needs.
