Overview & Responsibilities

THE ASSIGNMENT

Under the supervision of the Program Lead and in close collaboration with the Grants Manager in Mali, the Grants Consultant will support the selection process for Implementing Partners (IPs) and perform the following duties:

  • Support the Country Office throughout the IPs selection process, ensuring compliance with IDLO's Guidelines for Working with Implementing Partners and associated toolkit, templates, workflows, and business processes.
  • Support the development of evaluation reports for the Call for Concept Notes process, based on the results of the application assessment.
  • Support the collection and compilation of the required documentation from prospective Implementing Partners (IPs) for the purpose of conducting sanctions due diligence checks.
  • Facilitate the Organizational Assessment of shortlisted prospective IPs, including coordinating the collection of required documentation, supporting completion of the Organizational Assessment form, compiling assessment findings, and identifying any capacity development needs.
  • Maintain organized records, communications, and supporting documentation related to the IPs selection process, in line with IDLO's record-keeping requirements.
  • Provide coordination and administrative support, under the guidance of the Program Lead, and facilitate coordination among the Grants Manager and prospective/selected Implementing Partners (IPs) on matters related to the IP selection process.
  • Support the different IPs in their proposal package development process and collect necessary documents and information to be used for agreement establishment.
  • Support the development of a capacity development plan for each IP selected before the beginning of the collaboration.
  • Create and set up an individual folder for each partner.
  • Support the coordination of the sub-project inception process.
  • Perform any other related duties as requested by the Program Lead.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in project/program management, development, social work, gender, human rights fields, finance, or any other related area.
  • Previous experience in managing grants or partnerships is an added advantage

Experience:

  • Experience creating and facilitating processes to build trust and relationships within grant partnerships.
  • Extensive experience in facilitating partnership processes between an NGO and partners (especially pre-award processes).
  • Two years of experience managing grants. Experience in managing sub-grants with partner coordination is a plus.
  • Ability in writing various documents, including reports, proposals, etc.
  • At least three years of experience writing financial and narrative reports in French. English is an asset.
  • Experience in creating grants management systems and structures.
  • Fluency in French is required; a good command of English is an asset.

Terms & Conditions

The Services will be performed at the IDLO Burkina Faso Country Office for two (2) months, from October 2026 to November 2026. The total remuneration for the assignment will be EUR 4,000, equivalent to a monthly remuneration of EUR 2,000.
