A Day in the Life

As a Clinical Research Specialist, you will leverage relationships with key customers to collect high-quality surveillance and outcome data from patients using our products from diverse therapy lines. As a dedicated liaison, you will be responsible for enhancing communications between Medtronic and our customers. You will interact with multiple stakeholders to accelerate center activation cycle times, proactively manage center performance, and foster strong customer partnerships. In this role, you will work under general supervision to facilitate strong contributions to a registry of market-approved devices. You will exchange information of informative facts, status updates, ideas and issues to achieve objectives, and influence decision-making. As a site facing Clinical Research Specialist you are expected to develop solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity to ensure the accurate and timely execution of the Product Surveillance Registry. This role may involve travel to registry sites, subject to their needs. This is a hybrid position and sites assigned may be outside of your geographical location.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Manage customer relationships and maintain knowledge of center processes and resources
• Support study start-up activities, including preparation and revision of study materials, training, and initiation documentation
• Conduct training for site and Medtronic staff, including virtual/video meetings and team sessions
• Maintain accurate study tracking logs, progress updates, and status reporting
• Assist with preparation and review of data, reports, regulatory submissions, publications, and presentations
• Monitor, identify, and mitigate quality risks, and oversee follow-up and resolution of site issues
• Refer to SOPs and site management processes while contributing to process improvement initiatives and team activities
   

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree
• 4+ years of related experience (2+ years with an advanced degree)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust to shifting demands
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations
• Experience with MS Office Products such as Word and Excel

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
