Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with Technology and R&D organizations to identify, prioritize, and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, data quality, laboratory productivity, and product development effectiveness.
  • Facilitate process improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodologies and problem-solving tools, including DMAIC, root cause analysis, process mapping, statistical analysis, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Collaborate with laboratory and technical teams to improve measurement systems, testing processes, data integrity, and operational workflows through the application of continuous improvement principles.
  • Support laboratory measurement system improvement activities, including Gauge R&R studies, measurement capability assessments, test method standardization, and data quality enhancement.
  • Monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify improvement opportunities and support data-driven decision making.
  • Prepare project documentation, technical reports, presentations, and management updates to communicate project progress, business impact, and implementation results.
  • Collaborate with Technology, R&D, and cross-functional teams to identify, develop, and showcase continuous improvement projects for participation in external industry conferences, innovation forums, and operational excellence programs, enhancing organizational visibility and promoting best-practice sharing.
  • Promote a culture of operational excellence, continuous learning, innovation, and data-driven decision making throughout the Technology organization.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Statistics, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, manufacturing, R&D, laboratory operations, or related fields.
  • Experience leading or participating in continuous improvement projects with measurable business results.
  • Experience working in technical, laboratory, manufacturing, or product development environments is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, or equivalent software.
  • Understanding of Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret complex technical data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement certification.
  • Experience facilitating DOE, MSA, or other statistical improvement projects.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional technology organizations.
  • Knowledge of laboratory operations, product development processes, or technology commercialization activities.
