Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Hospitality Desk in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a financial institution and commercial real estate location, you will provide a welcoming presence, manage visitor access, communicate professionally with tenants and guests, and support security-related operations. Your visible, customer-focused approach will help deter incidents while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

- Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, employees, and clients at a front desk location within commercial real estate and financial institution environments.
- Monitor access to the facility by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, following visitor management procedures, and directing guests in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Support security-related procedures by maintaining accurate visitor, contractor, package, and access-control records as required by the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Communicate professionally with building management, tenants, clients, and first responders regarding security-related concerns, unusual activity, and site-specific requests.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of experience in security-related roles is required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
