Employment Status: Part Time Seasonal

Wage Range: $15.00 to $16.00

Minimum Age: 19 (modified position for 18 may exist)

Position Summary:

Expected schedule is Fridays-Sundays plus holidays. Operate Hermit’s Hollow tubing Center with focus on guest safety and enjoyment.  Tasks include, but are not limited to, handle tow operation, shoveling, reservations, and sales.  Maintain and work closely with other departments, such as Activity Center, Lift Maintenance and Patrol.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a friendly and outgoing attitude.
  • Operate and maintain rope tow, tubes, and tubing lanes.
  • Promote safety at all times.
  • Assist and coach guests through their adventures.
  • Work closely with other staff to provide a great guest experience.
  • Operate a sales till. Be accurate and consistent with cash handling.
  • Serve adult beverages and be accountable for following associated state laws.
  • Keep work areas and merchandise clean and presentable.
  • Become knowledgeable of Schweitzer Mountain facilities.

Specific Job Skills:

License/Certifications- Idaho State Police Alcohol Beverage Training Certificate, we will help you acquire. 

Technical- Basic computer skills

Physical Capabilities- Expected to stand and walk over uneven surfaces for up to 10 hours in all temperatures and weather conditions. Will lift, pull, or push up to 40 pounds frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally. 

Additional- Comfortable working around children.
 

Education/Related Experience:

Minimum education required- none

Minimum time in related position- Guest service experience. Winter Sports enthusiast and knowledge of mountain environment preferred.
