Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Receptionist Scheduler, you will orchestrate a seamless and efficient care process for patients and providers by coordinating appointments and managing schedules.Every day you will schedule patient appointments and coordinate multiple provider schedules for medical procedures, tests, and studies. You'll ensure timely scheduling through effective communication, accurately gather and verify patient insurance and documentation, process reports, and provide exceptional customer service to patients via phone and in-clinic assistance.To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and excellent communication and reasoning skills to manage scheduling complexities and patient inquiries, always striving for accuracy and efficiency.
- Courteous, appropriate, timely greeting of individuals both in personal and via telephone. Timely, accurate routing of messages to departmental personnel and patients / visitors.
- Accurate patient scheduling. Courteous assistance in patient completion of registration information packet. Accurate identification of patient payor type.
- Performs as a productive, cooperative member of the reception / Billing team.
- Obtains insurance authorization for Rehab treatment as dictated by individual insurance plan types. Assists therapists in the monitoring of authorization frequency and duration compliance. Documents authorization in the patient's chart.
- Performs daily charge input into the Agency billing program with specifics regarding individual patient charges coming from the appropriate clinician.
- Participates in all aspects of accurate, timely bill generation and submission on a bimonthly basis.

- Must have knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. and
