Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Retail Patrol Driver in Carlsbad, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and tenants. This driving position offers the opportunity to use strong communication skills while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, parking areas, entrances, tenant spaces, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, providing directions and assistance to visitors while maintaining a professional presence.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate relevant information to site management, Allied Universal leadership, and appropriate responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
