Summary
JOB SUMMARY:Within the context of a client and family centred model of care and, in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values, and strategic directions of Providence Health Care, the position promotes a safe, respectful, and civil working environment for patients, residents, families, visitors and staff. Reporting to the Director Facilities Maintenance & Operations (FMO), the Lead, Building Information Modelling (BIM) & Asset Integration is responsible for asset data governance, BIM coordination, and the integration of digital asset information into operational systems. This role ensures that PHC has accurate, reliable, and usable asset information to support maintenance, lifecycle planning, and long-term operational readiness. This role exercises independent judgment in the development and application of standards, systems, and practices that impact FMO across PHC. This role supports all PHC sites, with a primary focus on asset handover and digital integration for the New St. Paul’s Hospital (NSPH). QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training and Experience:A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a diploma or certificate in Engineering Technology, Facilities Management, Architecture, Construction Technology or other related discipline plus a minimum of four (4) years’ recent related experience in facilities, construction, asset management, or building systems, including two (2) years of experience working with BIM, asset data, or digital building information. Experience working in health care or a large organization is an asset.Skills and Abilities:• Demonstrated understanding of building systems and asset lifecycle concepts.• Proven experience supporting project handovers or asset documentation.• Proven experience working with digital models, asset registers, or structured data.• Strong attention to detail and data quality.• Proven ability to translate technical information into operationally usable formats.• Strong collaboration and communication skills.• Demonstrated working knowledge of building systems, operations and maintenance practices in a complex, multi-site health care environment.• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and maintain effective working relationships with a service-oriented attitude displaying courtesy, tact and diplomacy under stressful situations.• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.• Ability to operate related equipment including related software applications.• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.1. Establishes and maintains asset data standards, naming conventions, and classification rules. Responsible for defining required asset data fields for operational use and ensures asset data accuracy and completeness across PHC systems.2. Conducts asset data audits and supports continuous improvement. Supports lifecycle, criticality, and redundancy data for planning purposes.3. Acts as the FMO point of contact and is accountable for BIM and digital asset models, coordinating alignment between BIM models and CMMS asset structures.4. Ensures spatial, room, and system relationships are accurately represented.5. Supports the long-term digital twin strategy for PHC facilities.6. Supports project handover standards related to asset data, Operation & Maintenance documentation, warranties, and spare parts and supports post-handover model updates and asset changes.7. Coordinates asset data transition from capital projects into operational systems.8. Provides clarity between deficiencies, warranties, and operational maintenance.9. Provides asset data support for capital planning and replacement forecasting, supporting future readiness for analytics, reporting, and digital tools.10. Contributes to financial planning processes by providing asset data, lifecycle analysis, and forecasting inputs that support capital and operational decision-making.11. Supports integration between BIM, Computerized Maintenance Management System, Building Management System, and other facility systems.12. Works closely and in collaboration with FMO operations, project teams, internal/external partners, and vendors, including requests, tasks and issues related to data exchange.13. Provides guidance to site teams on asset data requirements, supports training, and updates related to asset information and digital tools.14.
