Investment Analyst

Job Summary

Will serve as the sole investment analyst on the team responsible for the investment of operating, pension, insurance, and foundation assets. Focused primarily on investments, including analysis of investment managers, markets, and asset classes in support of asset allocation, investment manager due diligence, and portfolio structure; however, will also provide operational support related to the investment portfolios, such as the movement of cash, the month-end closing process, and the year-end audit process.

Essential Functions

• Analyzes investment-related data such as returns, market fundamentals, & portfolio exposure data to support investment manager due diligence, asset allocation, & portfolio structure.
• Assists in the preparation of materials to communicate portfolio strategy and investment results to key stakeholders, such as Corewell Health Management and governance committees.
• Develops analytical tools that leverage data from both internal & external sources so that the investment team can more efficiently identify opportunities & risks within the portfolios, at both the investment manager & asset class level.
• Works with the team to ensure the efficient movement of cash both within & among accounts, such as cash needs for the organization, benefit payments to pensioners, & capital calls for private investments.
• Provides support to Treasury & Finance staff related to month-end closing & year-end audit processes.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field

• 2 years of relevant experience Analytical role w/ a focus on quantitative analysis & familiarity w/ financial data.

Preferred

• CFA/CAIA not required; however, a desire to pursue those is a plus.
