Job Description

  

Job Summary

Performs a wide variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies and subassemblies. Determines and/or follows prescribed methods and sequences of operations while performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harness assembly, and mechanical assembly of units.

Responsible for the electro-mechanical assembly of camera-related products, including engineering prototypes, pre-production units, and production assemblies. Work is performed in a manufacturing and assembly environment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build a wide variety of camera products, including subassemblies, final assemblies, prototypes, modifications, upgrades, inspections, and rework.
  • Assemble mechanical products in accordance with manufacturing documentation, including assembly instructions, travelers, configuration logs, and related work instructions.
  • Perform hand soldering of electronic components as required, including:
    • Component soldering
    • Wire soldering
  • Assemble wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
  • Verify kits, materials, and parts are complete and accurate prior to assembly.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering with the creation, development, and revision of assembly documentation as needed.
  • Perform basic functional testing and verification as required.
  • Verify the accuracy and quality of completed assemblies and related documentation.
  • Process assemblies using various materials, including adhesives, coatings, epoxy compounds, and similar products.
  • Perform mechanical assembly using hand tools such as wrenches, torque drivers, sockets, and other assembly equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision, accuracy, quality, and thoroughness.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members to maximize productivity and achieve department goals.
  • Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to new assembly techniques, tools, and processes.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and production requirements.
  • Must be US Citizen or PERM Resident

Desired Knowledge & Experience

  • Hand soldering experience.
  • Ability to read and work from written instructions, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and related documentation.
  • Experience assembling electro-mechanical components using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Wire harness and cable assembly experience.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling procedures.
  • Strong manual dexterity and ability to work with small components for extended periods.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or high-tech assembly environment preferred.

  

Salary Range:

$39,000.00-$52,000.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
