Job Description:

The Assembler is responsible for assembling and testing company product. This position may specialize in particular products or processes. Additionally, this position follows all work area related processes and procedures to assemble units utilizing hand tools, small power equipment, and other special equipment/fixtures. Finally, this position is required to complete paperwork fully, accurately, and timely, as well as clean and maintain work area and equipment including tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrated ability to Assemble wide range of products, using drawings, work instructions, and tests to performance specifications.
  • Adheres to product quality standards, and standard operating procedures Provide support and feedback to team lead and engineering team.
  • Completes required documentation.
  • Utilizes the inventory management System-Kanban, cycle counting, physical inventory.
  • Performs material handling, receiving, and stocking of materials and sales coordination.
  • Adheres to facility safety and health requirements; wears prescribed PPE.
  • Maintains work area, tools and/or equipment, and machines.
  • Maintains focus on continuous improvement by applying ITW principles/techniques and makes process improvement recommendations to management.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education:  High School Diploma (or GED) required.

Experience/Skills: 

  • Two (2) year manufacturing experience preferred and must be meeting or exceeding current department expectations.
  • Good manufacturing operations knowledge and practices.
  • Ability to work on a team and independently
  • Ability to inspect and manipulate small and delicate items using a variety of tools
  • Able to assemble complete printhead Computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft Office Product required
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good Problem solving and, multi-tasking skills
  • Good decision-making skills
  • Ability to maintain high productivity on repetitive tasks while working in a fast-paced environment 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS

Physical/Visual Activities or Demands: Physical/visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently (34% - 66%) be required to, stand, walk, type, bend, and constantly (67% - 100%) be required to reach outward, grasp. They will occasionally (1% - 33%) be required to sit, twist/turn, crawl, reach above shoulder, sit, type, bend, and squat.
  • The employee must carry up to 10 pounds constantly, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally and push and pull up to 10 pounds constantly, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include concentrated attention, close vision, far vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to bring object into sharp focus.   

Working Conditions: Working conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.

  • Plant Conditions (100%)
  • Constantly exposed to Machinery and loud noises, and frequently exposed to chemicals. 

Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids that may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position:

Computer, saws/drills, measuring tools (Vernier calipers, scale, micrometer, hand tools, fork truck, gauges, rivet gun, pneumatic tools.
