Production Manager (11875)

Who They Are
Our client is one of the largest and most respected privately held building products manufacturers in the country. They are seeking a Production Manager to lead first shift at one of their manufacturing facilities, overseeing 6 to 8 direct-report supervisors and a high-volume door, millwork and stair production operation producing approximately 400 doors per day during peak season.

What You'll Do

• Oversee all aspects of production including Custom Millwork, Door Shop and Moulding departments
• Ensure that high standards of quality, safety and service are met
• Set the overall direction for production through long and short term goal planning and ensure budgets are being met
• Ensure that all areas in production of doors, millwork and moulding are running in an efficient manner
• Ensure that departments are meeting quotas, material waste is low and production is timely
• Work closely with the Customer Service Department to ensure that production and dispatching are coordinating properly
• Focus on custom millwork to ensure that customer specifications and high quality craftsmanship are met
• Purchase all lumber for the mill; communicate with supervisors and reviews custom orders to determine purchase needs
• Determine job costing as well as the final selling price of the product
• Direct and facilitate best practices to ensure safety standards are met during production
• Ensure that all machines and equipment are being properly used and maintained
