Medicine | Radiation OncologyScope/Summary:
Research Senior Associate to function as technical expert in mouse modeling, mouse genetics, and genomic analysis of gene expression in the laboratory of Dr. Mitchell; plans, designs, executes, and manages animal projects related to the control and development of cancer; designs and executes complex laboratory experiments necessary to carry out research grant proposals; collaborates with principal investigator to write manuscripts, articles, abstracts and research reports based on laboratory research results for publication in peer-reviewed journals; attends and presents at national scientific conferences; assists with development and preparation of grant proposals to obtain outside funding in support of research; prepares summaries of research findings for submission to sponsoring agencies; facilitates and establishes working relationships with potential sponsors and in the submission of detailed research proposals to governmental and private agencies; conducts critical analysis of research literature related to research being investigated; provides scientific guidance and technical expertise to undergraduate students, graduate students, post-doctoral fellow, and staff; oversees and monitors all purchases and expenditures; implements, administers and manages laboratory operational and research accounts; operates, maintains and trains research personnel on equipment; establishes relationships and develops collaborations with other laboratories; mentors and trains research personnel as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree or equivalent experience required; 3 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree, or 1 year of relevant experience required with Master's Degree.
