In addition, Yee Hong offers four campuses of managed care, a hospice residence, and a wide range of community-based senior and caregiver support services. Yee Hong is preparing to welcome residents to the Ng Siu Chan Care Centre, a new, purpose-built home that will provide 224 seniors with high-quality, culturally responsive care in a modern and welcoming environment. We are creating a place where seniors can feel at home, understood, respected, and cared for.
Opening in early 2027, the Ng Siu Chan Care Centre represents an exciting new chapter for Yee Hong. The home focuses on serving the Chinese community and providing care that reflects residents’ language, traditions, food, programs, activities, and unique cultural needs.

Job Description:
Reporting to the Food Services Manager, your main purpose will be:
To supervise food preparation and services to residents and other consumers in accordance with the organization's resident centered approach, policies and procedures as well as established standards and regulations.

As part of the Ng Siu Chan Centre, the Food Services Supervisor helps ensure every resident receives safe, nutritious, and enjoyable meals that reflect their individual preferences and dietary needs. This role brings Yee Hong’s Relationship-Centred Care philosophy to the dining experience while supporting a strong Food Services team and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
What You Will Do:
Support the Food Services Manager in overseeing daily food production and service in accordance with legislation, Ministry standards, and Yee Hong policies.
Lead, coach, and support Food Services staff to ensure effective daily operations and high-quality service.
Monitor residents’ food intake, dietary needs, preferences, and concerns, collaborating with the Dietitian as needed.
Meet with new residents to understand their food preferences and dining needs.
Supervise food preparation and ensure food quality, temperatures, sanitation, and safety standards are consistently maintained.
Maintain clean, safe, and well-functioning kitchen and dining areas.
Support food ordering, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and departmental resources.
Participate in resident care conferences and contribute to quality improvement and risk management initiatives.
Support catering and special food service functions as required.
Stay current with food service best practices and regulatory requirements.
What You Will Bring:
Graduate of a recognized 2-year diploma program in food services supervision or management, or a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or Hotel Management; membership of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management; and eligible for membership in Ontario Society of Nutrition Management.
Current Food Handler Safety Certificate.
Minimum 1 year experience in quantity food production, supervisory experience in food production preferred.
Ability to communicate in Chinese or Japanese is an asset.
Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen.
