Job Description

As a Security Officer Front Desk with Active Clearance in Charlottesville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will provide a welcoming presence, manage visitor access, support badge and alarm-panel processes, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping maintain an orderly environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Serve as a professional front desk presence by greeting visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and security-related systems from the front desk, reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, access records, and incident documentation while supporting security-related administrative tasks and client service needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience preferred.
• Hold CPR certification preferred.
• Have access control/badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
