Shift: Full-Time (40 hrs.) Days, evenings, nights (depending on availability) occasional on call & weekends may be required

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
- Verifies patients’ ID by checking their name and date of birth.
- Conducts patient interviews to describe level of discomfort or pain prior to, during, and after the exam.
- Obtains necessary consent from patients before conducting procedures.
- Maintains and cleans all equipment in accordance with decontamination procedures.
- Supervises and performs imaging procedures under the direction of a radiologist using age appropriate standards of practice.
- Performs venipunctures, contrast administration, and other relevant procedures in a safe manner.
- Notifies appropriate person of any change(s) in patients’ status.
- Assists the radiologist throughout procedures, with all the necessary supplies.
- Follows safety, security, and infection control standards.
- Participates in quality improvement activities to ensure continuous improvement of services provided.
- Prepares automatic injector with proper contrast, adjusting all settings and parameters according to procedure requirements and radiologist preference.
- Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
- Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Associate degree in relevant field
Certification and Licensing:
ARRT registration
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail. Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines. Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary. Commitment to the University’s core values.
