About the Role:

We are seeking an Administration and Campaign Support, Location – DHQ TAS, for a Casual Opportunity.

Purpose of the Role:

  • Provide flexible administrative, campaign and event support to the External Communications Manager, contributing to the effective delivery of Communications activities and priorities across Tasmania.

  • Undertake a range of support duties as required, working collaboratively with the External Communications team and always maintaining a high standard of confidentiality and professionalism.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:  

Administrative Support

  • Provide general administrative support to the External Communications team.

  • Complete data entry, document preparation, filing and record maintenance activities accurately and within required timeframes.

  • Assist with preparing routine correspondence, reports and administrative documentation as directed.

  • Provide reception support when required, including answering telephone enquiries, greeting visitors and directing enquiries appropriately.

Campaign and Event Support

  • Provide administrative and practical support for fundraising campaigns and communications activities.

  • Assist with preparing, distributing and collating campaign materials and information.

  • Assist with the delivery of meetings and events by preparing resources, setting up venues, supporting attendees and undertaking pack-down activities as directed.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Provide professional and courteous assistance to supporters, visitors, volunteers, staff and other stakeholders.

  • Respond to routine enquiries and refer more complex matters to appropriate team members.

  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate confidentiality, professionalism and respectful conduct in all interactions.

Education and Qualifications Required:

  • Certificate III in Business Administration (or equivalent) or demonstrated experience in an administrative support role.

  • Experience undertaking general office administration tasks.

  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to organise work, manage routine priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Experience using a range of applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook and Canva.

Requirements of the role:

  • Valid driver's license

  • A Working With Vulnerable People Check

  • Criminal History check (police check)
