Group Audit & Assurance (GA&A) provides independent assurance over the risks, controls and governance that underpin CommBank.
We're looking for experienced Financial Crime and Fraud professionals to join our audit team and help assess, challenge and strengthen the Bank's control environment.
Your impact
You'll lead audits across key financial crime and fraud risk areas, providing insight and assurance to senior stakeholders while helping the Bank respond to an evolving regulatory and risk landscape.
What you'll do
- Lead and deliver audits across Financial Crime and Fraud.
- Assess the effectiveness of controls relating to AML/CTF, sanctions, fraud and scams.
- Identify risks, control gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Present clear, practical findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Partner with business, risk and compliance teams to drive better risk outcomes.
- Coach and support junior team members.
We're interested in hearing from people who have
- Experience in Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, Assurance and Financial Crime and Fraud.
- Experience in fraud and scams risk management, including prevention, detection, investigation, controls assurance, or regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of AML/CTF, sanctions, fraud, scams, or broader financial crime risk frameworks.
- Experience assessing the effectiveness of controls, governance, and risk management frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and communication skills.
- The ability to analyse complex issues, identify key risks, and deliver practical, risk-based recommendations.
- Experience using data analytics and visualisation tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, or similar.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as CFE, ACAMS, ICA, CIA, CA, or CPA.
