Role Overview
As an Account Manager, you will be the face of the business within your territory, taking ownership of key customer relationships and driving long-term commercial growth. Working across a defined region, you'll manage the full customer lifecycle, from relationship development and account planning through to growth, retention and identifying new opportunities.
This is not a maintenance role. You'll be accountable for the sales and margin performance of your territory, proactively uncovering opportunities, executing strategic account plans and collaborating with internal specialists to deliver tailored industrial solutions that create genuine value for customers.
With significant growth potential already within the territory, this is an opportunity for someone who wants to build, influence and make a measurable commercial impact..
Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth across your territory by building strong customer relationships and identifying new commercial opportunities.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow existing customers and increase share of wallet.
- Build trusted partnerships with key decision-makers and become the go-to advisor for your customers.
- Proactively identify customer challenges and deliver tailored industrial solutions that create value.
- Retain and grow key accounts by anticipating customer needs and providing exceptional service.
- Generate new business opportunities and maintain a healthy, sustainable sales pipeline.
- Take ownership of territory performance, including sales, margin and customer growth.
Candidate Profile
- 4+ years of proven field sales or territory management experience with a strong track record of growing accounts through retention, cross-sell and share of wallet expansion.
- Background in industrial, MRO, fluid power, engineering services or technically complex B2B environments with strong operational understanding.
- Commercially accountable and self-directed, with consistent delivery against sales and margin targets across a defined territory.
- Strong relationship builder who earns trust through reliability, follow-through and practical problem solving in customer environments.
- Existing exposure to mining, manufacturing or heavy industry networks.
- Someone who is motivated by autonomy, commercial ownership and the opportunity to build a long-term career.
