Responsibilities
Job purpose: As a Motion Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing ideas to life through engaging and impactful motion content. You'll beresponsible for developing and delivering high-quality 2D motion graphics, animations and video assets that align with our brand visionand marketing objectives.
Working closely with creative, marketing and video production teams, you'll contribute innovative ideas, manage multiple projects fromconcept to completion, and help shape the visual storytelling of our brand across a variety of channels and audiences.
This role is based in Colombia and forms part of a global creative team, working closely with stakeholders across North America, Europeand other international locations.
Primary duties will include:
Concept Development
- Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm, develop and pitch innovative motion design concepts that support business andmarketing objectives.
Design & Animation
- Create high-quality 2D motion graphics, typography animation, explainer content, social media assets, branded animations and video graphics.
- Develop visually engaging motion content that aligns with brand guidelines and visual identity standards.
Storyboarding & Visualisation
- Create storyboards, style frames, animatics and visual concepts to communicate creative direction and project scope.
Motion Systems & Brand Consistency
- Develop and maintain motion design systems, templates and animation guidelines to ensure consistency across all content and campaigns.
- Support the evolution of the brand's motion language and visual storytelling approach.
Project Management
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, project requirements and stakeholder expectations are met.
- Accurately estimate workload and communicate project timelines.
Collaboration
- Work closely with video producers, designers, copywriters, marketers and stakeholders to deliver cohesive and effective visual communications.
- Collaborate effectively across multiple teams and disciplines to ensure creative and business objectives are achieved.
Global Collaboration
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders and partners across North America, Europe and other global regions, buildingstrong working relationships within a distributed team environment.
- Participate in virtual meetings, creative reviews and project discussions, adapting to time zones and regional requirements where needed.
Feedback & Revisions
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback effectively, making revisions while maintaining creative integrity and project objectives.
Platform Optimisation
- Adapt and optimise motion assets for a range of channels including social media, websites, presentations, events and internal communications.
- Ensure deliverables are produced in the correct formats, aspect ratios and technical specifications.
Innovation & Development
- Stay up to date with emerging trends, animation techniques, technology and design best practices to continually evolve the quality of output.
Qualifications
To land this role you will need
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in motion design.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop) and other relevant motion design software (Cinema 4D/Blender etc.).
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of motion design projects, highlighting creativity, technical skills, and attention to detail.
- Creativity: Ability to generate original ideas and concepts that align with the brand’s vision and objectives.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale effectively.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Team Player: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work well within a team environment, contributing positively to team dynamics.
What makes you stand out:
- Sound Design - Basic understanding of sound design, audio editing and the integration of audio into motion graphics.
Education / Certification Requirements:
- Degree in Motion Design, Animation, Graphic Design or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Working environment:
