About the role
IAA Credit Union (IAACU) is a member-focused credit union founded in 1951 to serve the Illinois Farm Bureau family of companies. The IAACU Marketing Team supports the credit union’s growth, brand awareness, member engagement, and strategic goals through campaigns, communications, events, digital content, advertising, and member education. Marketing works closely with departments across the organization to bring business goals to life through clear, creative, and meaningful communication that informs, educates, and inspires members and employees. We’re excited you are considering IAACU to enhance your college and internship experience.In this role, you will:
- Assist with social media marketing efforts by helping create content, design graphics, identify target audiences, schedule posts, and track performance and engagement.
- Help coordinate and support both internal and member-facing events through planning, communication, promotional materials, logistics, and on-site event assistance.
- Develop, edit, and proofread content for a variety of communication channels, including websites, email campaigns, newsletters, social media, brochures, and print materials.
- Work alongside departments across the credit union to contribute to projects, campaigns, and strategic initiatives.
Application Timeline:
We know waiting can be difficult, so we want to set expectations upfront. Our internship recruiting process takes place over several months. Applications open in mid-September and are reviewed as they are received. HR interviews are expected to begin in mid-October, followed by interviews with hiring leaders. Depending on the role and applicant volume, hiring decisions and offers may be made anytime from October through January. We appreciate your patience throughout the process and will communicate updates as they become available.

Do you have what we're looking for?
- Pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, digital media, event planning, or a related field.
- Must be able to work full-time hours from late May 2027 to early August 2027.
- Graduation date of August 2027 or beyond.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively, including strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
- Good project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, organize efficiently, establish priorities, and attend to details.
- Must be organized, self-motivated, and proactive.
- Knowledge of various social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video editing platforms, Google Analytics, SEO best practices, photography, or website management systems is beneficial, but not required.
