Role summary:As an Associate Merchant, you will support category management through supplier negotiations, purchase order administration, and item setup for both stores and online channels. You will leverage data analysis to inform category performance and assist in budgeting and forecasting. The Baby merchandising team is dedicated to providing families with quality, value, and convenience through a well-curated product assortment. Collaborating closely with suppliers and cross-functional partners, the team ensures a seamless omni-channel shopping experience. By leveraging customer insights, data analysis, and innovative approaches, the group continuously enhances how customers discover and engage with the Baby category across physical and digital platforms. What you'll do:
- Provide administrative support for supplier negotiations and manage purchase orders within assigned categories.
- Assist in resolving supplier issues and facilitate the setup of new suppliers for stores and online channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute customer communication and education programs.
- Monitor category performance through data analysis and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Support item setup, pricing recommendations, and modular assortment implementation.
- Utilize data tools to generate reports and insights that inform business decisions.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to support category strategy and execution.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in vendor relationship management and supplier negotiations to support category goals.
- Strong skills in data analysis and reporting to track category performance and inform financial planning.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including merchants, planners, and site merchandising.
- Knowledge of category strategy development and execution across store and online channels.
- Proficiency in managing purchase orders, item setup, and pricing recommendations.
- Aptitude for leveraging digital tools to enhance decision-making and customer-focused processes.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
