Diablo Valley Post Acute is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team. The Laundry Aide plays an important role in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for our residents by ensuring linens, clothing, and other laundry items are properly cleaned, organized, and available when needed.

Position Details

• Position: Laundry Aide

• Employment Type: Full-Time

• Pay Rate: $17.00–$18.00 per hour

• Location: Diablo Valley Post Acute

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing, linens, towels, and other facility laundry

• Operate commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and properly

• Inspect laundry for stains, damage, or missing items

• Properly label and organize resident clothing and personal items

• Deliver clean laundry to the appropriate residents and departments

• Maintain an organized, clean, and sanitary laundry area

• Follow proper infection-control and laundry-handling procedures

• Use cleaning supplies and laundry chemicals according to facility guidelines

• Report damaged equipment, supply shortages, or other concerns to management

• Maintain accurate laundry records as required

• Follow all facility policies, procedures, and safety standards

• Assist with other housekeeping or environmental services duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous laundry, housekeeping, environmental services, or healthcare experience preferred but not required

• Ability to operate laundry equipment or learn to operate equipment safely

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Dependable, punctual, and responsible

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift

• Ability to handle resident clothing and personal belongings with care and respect

• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment
