Course: HVAC Foundations
This course is designed such that students acquire the technical and professional skills necessary to excel in the HVAC industry. The course provides an introduction to designing and installing HVAC systems while equipping students with the skills required for diagnosing and repairing systems and components. Students learn the importance of maintaining tools and equipment for safety, preparing precise documentation, and effectively responding to heating, cooling, and plumbing emergencies. The course also focuses on operating HVAC systems, managing equipment startups, and working within established procedures. Furthermore, students are trained to make sound judgments and create impactful solutions, ensuring they are well-prepared for successful careers in the HVAC field.
What You Will Do:
- Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
- Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
- Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
Qualifications:
Preferred: Master's in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field with 3-5 years of HVAC experience.
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field with 5-7 years of HVAC experience.
