“I can succeed as a Data Governance & Enablement Manager Senior at Capital Group.”
We're building something different. Capital Group's Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) team is transforming how a $2.7 trillion global investment management firm governs its data — moving from manual, policy-driven governance to AI-powered, automated governance at enterprise scale. We need a Senior Manager who wants to lead that transformation, not just oversee it.
This isn't a "steady state" governance role. You'll be rolling up your sleeves alongside your team to build new capabilities, pioneer governance-as-code practices, and drive adoption across a complex, federated organization. If you thrive in environments where the playbook is still being written and you're energized by doing the work — not just directing it — this is your role.
As the Data Governance & Enablement Manager Senior you will lead the governance transformation. You will own the enterprise data governance strategy and operating model across investment, operations, and client domains, and personally drive its evolution. You will pioneer AI-enabled governance and drive enterprise adoption through change leadership. In this role, you will build and develop a high-performing team of managers and senior individual contributors.
"I am the person Capital Group is looking for."
- You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Management or a related field
- You have at least 10 years of progressive experience in data governance, data management, or information management
- You have at least 3 years of demonstrated success leading high-performing teams
- You have demonstrated experience building governance programs or capabilities from the ground up
- You have hands-on experience leveraging AI/ML for governance automation, including governance-as-code, policy-as-code, automated controls, AI-driven data quality monitoring, and other technologies that improve compliance, risk management, and control effectiveness
- Your technical foundation includes experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks, AWS), modern data architecture (CD/CI pipelines), and governance tooling platforms (Collibra or similar technology)
- You have a strong background with change management practices including driving adoption and behavioral change across large, complex organizations
- Your expertise includes data governance practices and frameworks for highly regulated environments (i.e., SEC, FINRA, and EU AI Act)
- You’ve worked in financial services, investment management, or other highly regulated industries
