Overview
Provides professional nursing care to patients within the medical practice in support of, and as directed by, the physicians. Assists the physician in the treatment of patients and completes related clinical paperwork. The incumbent in this position shall carry out his or her responsibilities and integrate into his or her work ethic the Mercy Philosophy of caring for the sick and suffering, respect for human life and the dignity of each person, applying Christian values to all crucial human issues in the area over which he or she has responsibility. What You'll Do

As a Registered Nurse, you will:

โœ… Provide professional nursing care and patient assessments

โœ… Monitor patient conditions and record vital signs

โœ… Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and procedures

โœ… Administer medications, injections, and IV therapies

โœ… Educate patients and families on treatment plans and self-care

โœ… Document clinical information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)

โœ… Respond effectively to urgent and emergent patient situations

โœ… Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes

โœ… Maintain a safe, clean, and patient-focused environment

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations
  • Basic computer and electronic medical record skills

Preferred

  • Previous nursing experience in cardiac, acute care, specialty, or hospital settings
  • Experience with IV therapy and patient education
