Paint and stripe sports fields to ensure clear boundaries and professional layouts for youth games. Operate and maintain small powered and non-powered equipment, including striping machines and field grooming tools. Clean and maintain public facilities, restrooms, and grounds, including emptying trash cans and performing general upkeep. Assist full-time Parks and Recreation staff with special projects and park maintenance tasks. Respond to public inquiries and provide helpful, friendly customer service to park visitors. Adhere strictly to safe work practices and procedures while handling tools and equipment.
Possession of, or the ability to obtain, an appropriate and valid driver license. Formal or informal education or training ensuring the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance. CPR, First Aid, and AED certification preferred, or the willingness to obtain it.
Enjoy hands-on, outdoor work across athletic fields and sports facilities Are comfortable lifting at least fifty pounds and handling daily physical activity like walking and standing for long periods Can work independently, follow instructions carefully, and pay close attention to detail Maintain a positive, professional attitude when interacting with field visitors, teams, and coworkers
